Team – Tim Hackney

Tim has nearly 30 years of experience in recruiting, managing payroll outsourcing in the engineering trades (mining, construction, energy). He created The Icon Group in South Africa in 1994, later sold to a company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in 1999. In 2001, Tim accepted the position of Managing Director of Manpower (South Africa), a subsidiary of the Manpower Group listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the second largest labor recruitment and outsourcing company in the world.

In 2007, after observing a period of regulatory non-competition, Tim rebuilt The Icon Group with a focus on permanent and contract recruitment in the engineering sector. Over the past three decades, he has acquired a valuable experience in the workforce recruitment and outsourcing industry in Europe, the Middle East as well as Africa.
