Yves Kabongo

Yves comes from the natural resources sector in the DRC, where he worked for over a decade. He was one of the key players in the major mergers and acquisitions that shaped the mining industry in the DRC, bringing in-depth knowledge of finance and business development.
Throughout his career, Yves has held key positions at the head of SMB (Moku Goldmines) and Oriental Iron Company. He was also CFO of AMB Mining, Principal Analyst at Bombardier Inc. and Cash Management Analyst at National Bank of Canada.
Yves has also held positions on the boards of a number of companies in the DRC, namely Oil of Congo, Karibu Development Company (an infrastructure company in JV with Andrade Gutierrez) or West River. He brings extensive experience and local market knowledge to The Icon Group Congo.
Yves is a graduate of HEC and McGill University in Montreal, Canada.
Tim has nearly 30 years of experience in recruiting, managing payroll outsourcing in the engineering trades (mining, construction, energy). He created The Icon Group in South Africa in 1994, later sold to a company listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange in 1999.
In 2001, Tim accepted the position of Managing Director of Manpower (South Africa), a subsidiary of the Manpower Group listed on the New York Stock Exchange and the second largest labor recruitment and outsourcing company in the world.
In 2007, after observing a period of regulatory non-competition, Tim rebuilt The Icon Group with a focus on permanent and contract recruitment in the engineering sector. Over the past three decades, he has acquired a valuable experience in the workforce recruitment and outsourcing industry in Europe, the Middle East as well as Africa.
Colin has 34 years of experience in recruiting manpower in engineering, in the petrochemical industry as well as in the mining industry in several countries and continents such as Asia, Wales, Canada, in UK, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, DRC and South Africa.
Based in Lubumbashi, Dylan has management experience in several projects of different sizes in Canada, Kenya and DRC. At 21, he created his first award winning company in the construction industry. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ryerson University in Toronto where he has also held management positions representing the faculty as well as the university nationally and internationally. In addition, he holds a Design Thinking certificate from an entrepreneurial center in Munich, Germany.
Dylan is also a member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services in the DRC.
Based in Kolwezi, Jacqueline manages the group's representation activities in the mining provinces as well as all related operational aspects. With extensive experience in human resources management, administrative management, quality management as well as supply chain management with over 20 years of experience in Supply Chain to her credit, Jacqueline has worked in Europe, Brazil and the DRC and holds a Bachelor's degree in Supply Management from the University of Francisco Ferrer in Brussels as well as additional training certificates in Project Management and Tourism (Brazil), in Quality Management, Safety and Work Environment ( Brussels) as well as in human resources management (Cameroon).
Martin manages at the head office the operations related to obtaining visas, work cards and all other requirements required by Congolese laws vis-à-vis foreign workers. He is the contact person between the company and all government structures. Martin has experience in customer service as well as finance, having worked for different companies in Canada, Kenya and the DRC.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce with a specialization in accounting from the University of Ottawa in Canada and he pursuing an Executive MBA program with university of Frankfurt.
Adi is a strategic process improvement specialist with extensive experience in supply chain management. She joined the group in 2019 after working for the US Treasury Department in Washington DC as Project Analyst as well as with the World Bank (IDA) - PRRAP, as Director of Operations and Administration in the DRC.
With more than 20 years of experience in restructuring and improving business processes throughout his career, Adi brings a lot of added value through his expertise and dedication to the team.
Adi holds a master's degree in Supply Chain Management from the University of Maryland (USA).
Magalie Mashagiro
Financial Director
Magalie is responsible for accounting and financial management at the head office level. She has experience in accounting, financial reporting and auditing.
She worked for an international audit firm for 4 years where she gained portfolio management experience in different sectors, including mining. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from the University of Wales, an MBA from Plymouth University in the UK and is currently pursuing her ACCA accounting designation.
Anne has managed the administrative, human resources and logistics departments of several reputable companies in the DRC. She has also worked for cooperation projects led by bilateral or multilateral donors including:
UNFPA or the World Bank with the management of social plans to free up the operating margins of state companies such as Regideso, Gécamines, SNCC or SNEL. Anne graduated from Academia administration school and went through the Higher Institute of Commerce in DRC.
